Get lei’d.

Sip in style at a boozy bougie oasis that most definitely passes the IG vibe check—if you can find it

Giving and receiving lei is a long-honored tradition in Hawai‘i. While you can certainly find them at the airport, many locals head directly to Chinatown for their floral fix. But what if you also wanted a little libation with your lei? Well that was the written-on-a-napkin idea amongst friends that sparked what would eventually become The Lei Stand—a tropical lounge hidden discreetly inside a functioning old school lei shop. The dranks? Delish. The scenery? Lushhh. Every nook and cranny is just begging to be a background element in those selfies. Working alongside Sweta Patel with owners Ryan Kalei Tsuji, Tara Shimooka, and Jake Johnson, this pet project exemplifies what a space can become when creating something where you and your friends would actually want to hang. But don’t take my word for it…check it out for yourself.

New in 2025! The Lei Stand Over is arriving at (HNL) Daniel K. Inouye International Airport
