Bootcamp rebooted.

Barry’s had a transformation of its own—from niche boutique fitness phenomenon to full-fledged lifestyle brand

Originally conceived as a side passion project, I spent about four months concepting, sketching, reimagining and ultimately crafting an entirely evolved identity for Barry's. An avid fan, I had honestly become obsessed with the workout. But each and every class I found that my mind would wander. "What if...this? What if...that?" I excitedly threw myself into the project as somewhat of a hobby on my nights and weekends away from agency life and actually got the opportunity to present all of my work to the Barry's executive team. I was offered a creative director position to bring that initial vision to life and the rest, as they say, is history.

Barry's was one of the very first HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) workout experiences and was the originator of an entirely new segment of the fitness industry. What originally started out in a modest West Hollywood space in 1998 now has a global presence. I love seeing how the branding continues to grow, customize and evolve as Barry's expands to new markets—and even into people’s living rooms. But perhaps most fulfilling is watching how it has transformed peoples lives for the better and given them a “fit fam” with which to share their personal goals, challenges and successes.

Live from New York, it’s Saturday Night!

J.Lo + SNL take on Barry’s. Forever and always a New Yorker, this might be the coolest street cred yet: seeing your branding work on television as Saturday Night Live and Jennifer Lopez give Barry's Bootcamp a good ribbing. Completely geeked out on this one.
